Finger Lakes Wine Company 2015 Semi Dry Riesling

April 22, 2018

From the moment you look at the creative and well-designed label, to tasting this pale colored wine, you will be happy with your decision. It is in the middle of being sweet and dry, something that should appease most people. The palate is bright with grapefruit, honeysuckle, lemon and mineral components, all that you would want in this varietal. The price is right in the middle, not bargain and not stuffy. Try this bottle for a weeknight meal at home or a low key weekend meal as you will not be disappointed.

Inspire Moore Love 2016 Riesling

December 10, 2017

A marriage of appearance and taste, this creatively and sustainably adorned bottle is quite pleasant to drink. Once the pink-red cork is removed, a nose of pineapple, citrus and shale is revealed. This semi-dry version from Inspire Moore is quite palatable with grapefruit, grass and minerality. The crispness of the acidity is rounded out with faint sweet notes at the end. WF 88 points

Adirondack Winery 2016 Barrel Aged Chardonnay

December 3, 2017

Adirondack Winery 2016 Barrel Aged Chardonnay- This New World style chardonnay is a feast for all the senses. A beautiful label keeps the wine clothed and reveals a complex woody nose once poured. On the palate, citrus, butter and oak are the main themes with a light body at 12.5 % alcohol. This bottle is a good representation of what Finger Lakes growers (and Adirondack wine makers) can do with the chardonnay varietal. WF score 85.

Chateau Lafayette Reneau 2015 Dry Riesling

November 21, 2017

A great representation of Finger Lakes wine, this Riesling entices with a citrus and grassy nose. Champagne yellow in color, it shines in the glass and is entertaining on the palate with a long lime finish. It will make anyone a fan of the dry version of this varietal at a decent price point.
