From the same line as Apothic Red, Apothic Dark and Apothic Crush comes Apothic White. Looking for a chilled white wine for dinner tonight we decided to give this white blend a try.
The nose is inviting with butter and oak and you’ll swear you are about to drink a California Chardonnay.
The mouth is very different with notes of Kiwi fruit, lemon cake and sweet oak. There is a pleasant vegetable component as well.
This went very well with Kerry Gold Dubliner cheese, warm olives and our main course, grilled chicken with mixed vegetables. A $9.99 value that we overpaid $11.99 for but it was a small town liquor store and we didn’t have a choice.
