Apothic White

March 30, 2017

From the same line as Apothic Red, Apothic Dark and Apothic Crush comes Apothic White.  Looking for a chilled white wine for dinner tonight we decided to give this white blend a try.

The nose is inviting with butter and oak and you’ll swear you are about to drink a California Chardonnay.

The mouth is very different with notes of Kiwi fruit, lemon cake and sweet oak.  There is a pleasant vegetable component as well.

This went very well with Kerry Gold Dubliner cheese, warm olives and our main course, grilled chicken with mixed vegetables.  A $9.99 value that we overpaid $11.99 for but it was a small town liquor store and we didn’t have a choice.
