Although it doesn’t have anything to do with the wine, the label is very carnival like and entertaining. From the Lodi Appellation, this California Petite Sirah has a delightful nose full of milk chocolate, blue berries and vanilla with toasted oak. The milk chocolate carries over into the mouth as do dark fruits and lovely tannins that become oh so fine when paired with a rib eye.
At 14.5% alcohol, this wine packs a punch but it is so delicate in its structure that you barely notice the alcohol content. I’m glad I bought more than one bottle. I picked this up at Costco.
